My name is Harrison Saunders. I founded HES photography in 2014 having worked as a freelance photographer for 3 years. My main focus was school photography as a result of my mother having run a school photography company for over 10 years, giving me an insight into the world of shooting from an early age. However, I am now experienced in all photography fields.
After gaining experience from working at several well-known school and graduation photography companies, I decided to start my own business. I am a very versatile photographer and will never close the door on any job – big or small.
“I don’t trust words. I trust pictures.”— Gilles Peress.
Whilst studying film at Portsmouth University I was asked by a friend to take some still images while they were shooting a project. The photos came out better than I could have ever imagined and this was when I first realised my passion for photography. I then began to take pictures for other friends and classmates and have never looked back. From then on, still image has become my passion over moving images and when I left university, I knew that I wanted to pursue a role as freelance photographer.
When I look through the viewfinder, I want to capture the raw emotion, expression and movement that are portrayed by the subject.
